About Me

Born and raised in Viana do Castelo, passionate about food culture.

With years of experience as a professional cook and even having the chance to open a fine-dining restaurant, I’ve been diving deep into gastronomy ever since Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations. Went to culinary school and worked at both michelin and traditional restaurants. I love to eat at where they respect the local products and traditional recipes, be it a fine-dining or a tavern.

Recently working as a food photographer, with the opportunity to meet the people behind our gastronomy, eager to learn about different visions on gastronomy and dig curiosities and meaningful historical facts.

I am also the founder of Gastrolábio, a project thought to gather and share Viana’s gastronomy in a more profound and true way, from an expert perspective. The project idea started when I realized I had a passion to show my hometown to friends coming into town through food, trying to bring them the next hidden gem and making sure they eat at all the right places.
